Post-Thrash/Death Metal - Sweden

- The band was founded under the name Machine God. After the first gig in spring 1994 it was decided to change the band name to Face Down.

- In early 1999, Marco decided to leave the band and join The Haunted. Soon after Marco's departure the band splitted up.

- In 2004 Joakim (Harju) Hedestedt felt that it was time to reunite the band.
He had heard about Marco Aro's departure from The Haunted and started making some phone calls to his old band mates. Face Down was reborn.

Opa, vou direto ao assunto... eu andei pensando e vi que muita gente reclama do preço dos álbuns ou demos serem muito caro principalmente quando se compra em alguma loja especializada e não direto com a banda.
Pensando nisso resolvi fazer uma pequena listagem com algumas demos e cds que estão bem barato no mercado, só botei cd's com valor abaixo de 20R$. Segue a lista logo abaixo.
(Se alguém souber mais sites nacionais, principalmente com cd's de Grind, Brutal Death ou Metalcore, se puder deixe um comentário!)

Começando o review Terrorthrone é talvez o primeiro projeto de um cara que tem um grande nome na cena metal finlandesa Henri Sorvali, mais conhecido por Trollhorn.
Trollhorn já passou por bandas bastante conhecidas na Finlândia (Barathrum, Ensiferum, Woods Of Belial entre outras). E atualmente é um nome bastante conhecido na cena Viking/Folk Metal pois atua como guitarrista do Moonsorrow e tecladista do Finntroll.


Agora falando sobre o Terrorthrone (Que realmente interessa). É uma demo bacana, um Brutal Death Metal lado a lado ao Goregrind. A demo começa com Suffocating Orgasm, onde podemos notar que a intenção de Henri foi realmente fazer um som sujo, com direito a intro tirada de alguma fala de filme e um grito rasgado estridente logo no começo da música. Outra coisa que podemos notar é o som da guitarra bem abafado e distorcido, provavelmente algo intencional para dar o ar de "podridão".
Se a primeira faixa foi algo totalmente podre sendo puro Goregrind já a segunda faixa Meat vai para o lado Brutal Death Metal do rótulo, ela já começa com um riff bem pegado e assim vai até o fim, com algumas quebradas e alternando em solos muito bem executados.
E pra fechar a demo temos Bow Down, The Scapel God, onde parece que Henri fez algo proposital, fazendo a primeira faixa total grind, a segunda um Brutal Death Metal e a terceira algo totalmente misto, com direito a paradinhas a lá algo bem mais técnico.

Resumindo é uma boa demo nada de inovador nem espetacular, mas se você é fã das outras bandas de Henri ou simplesmente quer ouvir um grind sem compromisso vale a pena conhecer. Uma coisa bem nítida nesse material é a clara influência de Black Metal que Henri já tinha (Principalmente a bateria). O projeto não tem nenhuma referência em site ou algo parecido apenas uma comunidade no orkut que criamos, e o único membro com o nome revelado é Henri Sorvali os outros são totalmente desconhecidos.
Minha opinião é que Henri Sorvali vulgo Trollhorn se encaixa muito melhor no que toca hoje em dia (Viking/Folk Metal) mas como citei acima, vale conferir.

M.D.K. (Murder Death Kill) iniciou suas atividades em 1997. O nome da banda veio de uma gíria usada por policiais e médicos legistas na década de 80 em Nova York quando era encontrado uma vítima de homicídio violento, usavam a sigla "M.D.K." em seu obituário.
Depois de algumas mudanças na formação, estabilizou-se em 2003 com Boca (Vocal)
Thales (Guitarra / Vocal) e André (Bateria / Vocal / Baixo) executando atualmente um perverso Gore Grind Splatter, lançamos diversos materiais entre eles cds e splits com bandas de diversas partes do mundo. Novos lançamentos estão sendo preparados, assinamos com o selo Vomit Noise Records dos Estados Unidos que lançou em julho de 2005 o nosso CD full lenght intitulado de "Splatterguts". Também recebemos o apoio de outras gravadoras como a

#DEICIDE toca na Holanda sem Glen Benton

O DEICIDE iniciou sua turnê européia no último dia 5, na Holanda, sem seu vocalista Glen Benton, que teve que ficar nos EUA por problemas de ordem legal pessoal. Com isso, Seth van Loo, baterista do SEVERE TORTURE e que já cantou nas bandas CENTURIAN e NOX, estará fazendo os vocais nos próximos quatro shows da banda. O line-up está fazendo suas performances sem um baixista e não se sabe ainda quando Benton retornará ao DEICIDE para esta turnê.

#DECIMATOR lança álbum Killing Tendency na Europa
Em parceria com a Maltkross Productions, da França, foi lançado o primeiro full-lenght da Decimator. Intitulado Killing Tendency, o CD tem 10 faixas, 7 inéditas em CD e 3 bonus tracks com as músicas do Promo CD lançado em 2003.
A banda finalizou a produção gráfica do CD que tem previsão de lançamento no Brasil para o próximo mês de março de forma independente. A versão lançada na França sofreu apenas modificações no encarte interno, contento a mesma capa e o mesmo tracklist da versão nacional e sairá nos formatos CD e K7.
Está previsto também para o mês de março o retorno da banda aos palcos, agora contando com Leonardo Schneider como novo vocalista.

Os brasileiros do Krisiun, juntamente com o Napalm Death e Leng Tch'e, são as mais novas atrações confirmadas para o festival "Death Feast Open Air 2007", que acontecerá entre os dias 7 e 9 de junho em Hünxe, Alemanha.

Due to the aggrevation of an old wrist-injury suffered by Robbert Vrijenhoek, the band were temporarily forced to cease activity while they searched for a replacement before deciding on Dirk Janssen of Despondency (Ger) in mid-2005.
However, as of January, 2006, Robbert Vrijenhoek decided to leave Disavowed permanently as no progress had been made as regards his wrist injury. While the band planned to work with Dirk Janssen (only in concert situations) until May, 2006, a permanent replacement, in Frenchman Romain Goulon (Imperial Sodomy etc) was subsequently found.

Joel Sta was a member back when they were called Nocturnal Silence and appeared on the band's demo 'Plateau' having a hand in writing some of the songs.
Disavowed have recently signed with Neurotic Records ahead of the early 2007 release of 'Stagnated Existence', their second album which is currently in production.
